Jennifer Lopez Love and Light ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 29 June 2011 21 Comments

Jennifer Lopez Love and Light

Jennifer Lopez will launch Love and Light, her latest fragrance for women, this Saturday on HSN (two hour shows at 12 midnight, 12 noon and 9 pm). It will debut in Kohls and other stores in September.

"Love & Light is an extension of Love & Glamour. It's the next incarnation. With Love& Light, I wanted to create a fragrance that was less about the world around you and more about your inner light and your spirit. It's about how you feel inside; it's not about your outside world," explains Lopez.

Love and Light is a sparkling woody floral; notes feature mandarin, red currant, pomegranate, rose crystal absolute, apricot, jasmine, patchouli, musk and praline.

Jennifer Lopez Love and Light will be available in 30 ($32) and 75 ($58) ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products.

I wonder if she holds the or Paris Hilton record for most celebrity frags. The perfume doesn’t sound especially interesting. I’ve only liked one or two of them released under her name so far and those were years ago.

Lopez has done 16 or 17, depending on how you count. Paris has only done 13.

Wow. Mangled that one. That’ll teach me for hitting the ‘post’ button without previewing. lol

Don’t know (and don’t care) about the perfume, but she’s practically unrecognisable in that pic.

I agree! At first I wondered who she had fronting her perfume!

I recognize her because that’s how she looked for Love & Glamour 😉

Being a metaphysical type with many like-minded friends, Love and Light is a typical email sign off. Now that it’s also a J-Lo perfume, looks like that will have to change!

Yeah… it irks me a little bit that *everything* has to be commercialized.

Anger and darkness is still available, I think.

The bottle reminds me of the Givenchy Organza & Organza Indecence bottle.

I don’t understand why the celebrities do so many flankers. I thought Glow was a decent scent for the money. To me it was the type of scent you give someone as a present who is not a perfumista but wants to just smell good. I think it has been reformulized also,

I blame the marketing dept for telling the execs in charge that it’s easier and cheaper to sell something ‘new’ instead of trying to come up with a better marketing strategy for something proven.

If this fragrance ends up being boring and mainstream, does that mean her insides are boring and mainstream too? Gotta watch those marketing concepts – they’ll come back to haunt you.

^That’s in the eye of the beholder, don’t you think? What you might classify as boring many millions won’t but that wouldn’t mean your opinion is wrong

I ordered it and it’s going back. Haha. I didn’t think anything would be as blah and ok as the original but Love & Light is a no no for me. It smells like Aquolina’s SICKLY CHEAP and SWEET Tweety fragrance. Please, as a warning to all, do not go and find that Tweety. It is SCARY. Haha. I guess the only thing I can say is that L&L does have a bit more personality than Tweety. It’s a definite no thank you for me. Next time Jen. I still believe in you! Haha. : )
