A well-developed sense of fashion

Posted by Robin on 17 June 2011 12 Comments

Because they're brutish and sweaty, most men don't have a problem with their phone's naturally metallic musk, but "20 to 40 year-old women with a well-developed sense of fashion" apparently do.

— But unfortunately, the new Fujitsu F-022, complete with detachable fragrance chip, will only be sold in China. Read more at Fujitsu releases F-022 flip phone for women who like to smell good at Engadget.

You know, I once held my phone against my shoulder w/my chin, and I must have applied my fragrance fairly recently, bc my phone picked up the smell. I’ve tried wiping down the phone a number of times, but it’s stubbornly held onto the scent for at least a year now, if not longer. Scented cell phones apparently are pretty easy to achieve!

LOL…that’s funny. One of the reasons I stopped wearing perfume on my wrists was that I got tired of the mixed blend on my watch band 🙂

I just wish I could figure out what it is! Had to have been a sample, bc I don’t recognize it at all. I accidentally spritzed some Jardin en Mediterranee on a leather watch band once, too, and that was a FANTASTIC combination.

Okay, I admit it- I read this post and immediately smelled my phone. It doesn’t smell like metal at all, maybe faintly of plastic and my pressed face powder, haha. I think I’m gonna steal boojum’s idea though and see if I can’t rub some Possets Lamp Black into the case. : D

You could probably achieve the same effect for free by just waring Fracas or Angel during a phone call. Actually, just walking past someone wearing Angel while you’re on the phone would probably accomplish the same thing. And yes, I wear both. 😉

LOL…perfect then, just walk by someone wearing something strong!

Next step: transmitting the scent to the person you’re talking to.

My Blackberry smells of slightly dusty metallic leather, the leather coming from the sleeve I carry it in. I like the smell, actually. Functional with hints of chic. 😛

This made me laugh and instantly reach for my phone. The really funny bit? Upon sniffing I realized that it always smells of perfume because of whatever bottle of vial I toss in to refresh my daily fragrance. Guess I don’t need a little scent bauble after all!

My old phone smelled a bit like Angel inside, which was not bad. I think this sounds terrible, though.

YES I love this! I’m a sucker for gadgets… Also this is just the conceptual blend of my BF and I, he collects and obsesses over phones. And he reads Engadget every morning and I read Now Smell This, and today I got to get all excited and tell him about this merging of our world!! Nerds!!
