Etro Paisley ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 June 2011 12 Comments

Etro Paisley

Italian niche line Etro will launch Paisley, a new perfume for women that pays tribute to the brand's iconic paisley pattern (used on everything from cashmere scarves to board shorts), in August.

The notes include bergamot, cardamom, blackcurrant leaf, ylang ylang, sambac jasmine, pink pepper, vanilla, patchouli and ambergris.

Etro Paisley will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I rather like this solid line and am now looking forward to both this one and the Kenzo in the previous article….so nice to have something to look forward to!

I’m an Etro fan. Love several of the fragrances and the bottles are among my favorite. I will definitely try this, though the blackcurrant leaf sounds a little jarring with all that nice warm stuff. Perhaps it will just provide a touch of balance?

I know what you mean – when I saw blackcurrant I thought: where’s the rose?

Interesting, it didn’t strike me that way but now I am more curious to smell it!

I love Shaal Nur, but I’ve not smelled any others from this line. I didn’t know they did scarfs – I’ll have to check those out. Not to interefere with any fragrance funds though.

Oh, their scarfs! I got scored one on ebay. And their clothes are insane!

That bottle gives me chills it’s so fab. The notes sound tempting too.

I thought that Etro is an Italian fashion brand/house? I’ve never thought of them as niche.

True. It’s a fashion house. I think of the fragrances as niche just because of their distribution here, which is mostly in niche stores. I don’t know how widely distributed the fashion is…it might be the same!
