Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2011, part 6

Posted by Robin on 17 May 2011 18 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Limited Crystal Edition Fragrance

From Maison Francis Kurkdjian, the Maison Francis Kurkdjian Limited Crystal Edition Fragrance: "A sensual and extraordinary Extrait de Parfum (Egyptian jasmine, Damascus rose, South African marigold, Yemeni frankincense tears and Malaysian gurjum balsam)." The bottles are Saint Louis crystal; a total of twenty 200 ml bottles were made (10 engraved in gold, 10 engraved in platinum). (via Maison Francis Kurkdjian at Facebook)

Annick Goutal Petite Cherie limited edition 2011

Limited edition packaging for Annick Goutal Petite Cherie: 100, 50 and 25 ml bottles of Eau de Toilette. There is also a 100 ml bottle of Eau de Parfum, and a 200 ml Body Milk. (via shopping-premiereavenue)

Acqua di Parma leather purse sprays

From Acqua di Parma, refillable leather purse sprays in Iris Nobile and Magnolia Nobile. $145 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Flowerbomb de Paris

From Viktor & Rolf, "Flowerbomb de Paris": "Inspired by “L’air de Paris”, Viktor & Rolf aim to make consumers rediscover the City of Lights through sketches of their favourite places: the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Sacré Coeur, among others. These symbols decorate the faceted diamond-like flacon..." 1600 bottles made, to be sold in Parisian airport shops starting in July, in 50 ml. (via moodiereport)

Armani Acqua for Life

From Giorgio Armani, Acqua for Life editions of Acqua di Gioia (shown) and Acqua di Gio (not shown). For every purchase, Giorgio Armani will provide 100 liters of drinking water for children. Learn more at the Acqua for Life website.

The Kurkdjian sounds absolutely lovely, but I suspect it may be just a tad out of my price range……

According to the lovely website Basenotes, the bottles go for the very reasonable price of 11,000 USD. No, don’t wipe your screen, you got it right 🙂 11,000 USD. That’s when the British expression “Blimey” comes handy!

See below, there are also refills (not that I can afford them either).

They are adorable, esp. the purple. Would love to have one.

Those Kurkdjian bottles are indeed lovely – the gleaming chunky stoppers… And is that sealing wax I spy on the middle one? I burnt myself sealing the back of a greetings card the other day with a stick of wax and thought what an archaic way to injure yourself – and to communicate, indeed!

Oh! I thought it was a bead but I’m sure you’re right.

I wonder if the Kurkdjian can be bought without all the ‘bling’…

No idea, but sort of doubt it.

I contacted them and the gold/platinum bottles are 5500 euros, while a refill is available for 1100 euros. Like Octavian said on his site, the refill price is not bad considering it’s 200ml of extrait….

I have a By Kilian purse spray, which, as Joe pointed out, is really too heavy for one’s purse. However, it IS quite attractive AND opaque, so I can keep it out on my dresser, unlike all my pretty bottles. Jus’ sayin’ to all those coveting the charming Acqua di Parma purse sprays 😉
