Does anyone know if the formulations change each year?

They do, but only a side-by-side comparison would make the differences noticeable.
Macys always carries these, and I smell them every year, occasionally purchase if I like the particular bottle. YMMV

Thanks, Bear. I’m a total bottle-slut, so I’ve even been looking for empties on *bay. 😛

I wish they’d do a summer version of Fleur du Male…I would buy that one!

Robin, there’s a cologne called Fleur Du Male La Cologne. Have you ever tasted it? I’m so curious about that…

I never did go try it, actually I forgot about it! But I still wish they’d do a fun limited edition bottle. IIRC, that one was the same bottle (?)

Robin, the bottle of the Cologne version is white, a little dull gray but semi-transparent. The can has a bright-silver piece of metal with an inscription (the tradicional one is totally white). It’s so hard to find it…

Oh, I have to say thanks here. It’s a pleasure to read and to learn about a passion with a learned person as you! I felt flattered by contribuiting to add something. Again, thanks and good luck on searching for the Cologne. If you find, describe it for us. Fleur du Male is a gem and La Cologne seems to go along the same way.

The notes for both sound wonderful. Buying the bottle might be a bit embarassing for some of us…I mean, how do you hold it…? Not that it’s not creative and interesting and aesthetically pleasing and all but….Am I starting to sound old or what?

I really like the sound of the notes for classique so will have to have a sniff of this one. I love the bottle too! When are they actually released? Not a bad price at £39 for 100ml.

JPG = my mom’s fave scent. So I wouldn’t be wearing it, even the reforms and LE’s.
