Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soleil ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 February 2011 27 Comments

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess fragranceEstee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soleil perfume

Estee Lauder will reintroduce Bronze Goddess (above left), their limited edition summer fragrance, and launch Bronze Goddess Soleil (above right), a new limited edition variation.

Where Bronze Goddess lusciously embodies the sultry warmth of summer, capturing the sensuous heat of the sun, the softness of warm sand and the radiance of bronzed skin with its amber-enhanced Solar Floral bouquet, Bronze Goddess Soleil artfully complements the feeling with a sparkling, refreshing warmth that was inspired by the dewy freshness of cloudless blue summer skies, the clarity of bright new summer mornings and the sparkle of daybreak on a pristine beach. Most of all, the fragrance captures the carefree beauty of a “real-live” summer goddess enjoying the sun-kissed days of summer.

[...] Bronze Goddess Soleil invites you to escape to a place of sunshine and warmth. A Solar Citrus Floral fragrance, NEW, Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Soleil blends sparkling citrus essences with a fresh and luxuriously carefree floral aura and an unexpected, yet sensuously feminine solar facet.

The notes for Bronze Goddess Soleil include citron, bergamot, tangerine, lavender, petitgrain, pittosporum, neroli, orange blossom, jasmine sambac, grapefruit tree blossom, pink lily, blonde woods, iris, ambrette seed and crystalline musks.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soleil will be available in 100 ml Eau Fraiche, $55. It is due to launch this month. (via press release)

I need to get another Bronze Goddess.
I gave mine away to one of my girls..I just need to have it cause I end up craving it…. I love the vetiver and coconut drydown.. I’ll smell the Soliel one but I doubt I’ll want that too.

I love it too…and look forward to the new one, although will be surprised if I like it more than the original.

Gee, all those notes sound delicious. I’ll have to be on the lookout for this at Macy’s. I love pittosporum in the garden. I don’t know if I’ll like it on my skin.
The original was a little too’ Ambery-enhanced’ for me.

This one sounds less so, so maybe it will work.

I’ve SO wanted to try Bronze Goddess (and try not to sample discontinued frags for fear of breaking my heart or my wallet). Very excited to try both of these, though it sounds like the Soleil isn’t going to have the coconut that’s calling to me.

Bronze Goddess comes out every year this time, so don’t think I’d count it as discontinued — so far!

Oops – am mixing it up with Azuree Soleil – brain too full today. Still happy to try it, though. 🙂

I have a bottle of the Azuree Soleil Tom Ford that supposedly Bronze Goddess is a doppelganger for.
Can anyone confirm or deny? TIA

This sounds lovely for summer! Bronze Goddess was, for some reason, a miss for me, though most everyone else seems to love it. I will try this flanker and see if I can join the party!

For whatever reason I never really connected with BG; it wasn’t bad, it just didn’t excite me (I had a similar reaction to Sensuous). I’d be curious to sniff the Soleil though.

i am a big fan of the the EL line in general but for some reason BG never called to me either. I will look for the Soleil next time I get to the mall. I don’t have high expectations though. The ‘crystalline musks” notes are reading like watery & clean musk to me and so far, I am not a big fan of those aquatic notes. We shall see…

Is the one for guys called Bronze God? Maybe the new House Speaker, John Bohner can do a plug for it…he seems to spend a lot of time with the heat lamps.

Never tried the original (and usually not wild about coconut), but this set of notes sounds really nice! Would love to smell the fragrance (and see the bottle) in real life.

I know this is going to sound WEIRD but I was away at the coast where it was extremely hot and I had only brought a few perfumes with. I brought coco as one of them because I had to do some work while I was there and it always makes me feel more ‘efficient’. The weird thing was that I found bronze goddess too sweet and heavy, while coco did great!?

Yep, i think the “coconutty”ones are best not for the Coastal holidays! I once took tiare mimosa (AA) on a cruise and that worked OK tho

I am wearing the original Bronze Goddess today, to try to keep the chilly, rainy, miserable weather at bay. It reminds me of balmy beach days smothered in coconut oil and sunscreen, but better (and more comfortable!) than the real thing. I can’t wait to smell the new variation! Especially glad they are also making it in a light concentration, I love to bathe myself in original, haha.

Love the Tom Ford Azuree Soleil and its bottle, just the perfect turquoise! Am happy to see BG reisssued and hope they will continue the trend (must be a money-spinner surely?) for when I run out of TFAS.

If it smells of coconut *in any way*, I don’t want to know. Nothing smells better than the original Ambre Solaire anyway . LOL!

How does anyone keep track of variations of variations? *shaking head*
