Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2011, part 2

Posted by Robin on 15 February 2011 15 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Le Jardin Cacharel

From Cacharel, the Le Jardin Cacharel series, featuring Scarlett, Lou Lou, Eden, Noa, Anais Anais and Amor Amor, each decorated in the color associated with one of the fragrances' floral notes. In 25 ml, due to launch in April. (via parfum-femme.prime-beaute, cosmopolitan.fr)

Neither limited edition, nor, strictly speaking, a collector bottle, but cute enough to warrant inclusion anyway: the new 20 ml travel bottle for Balenciaga Paris. I do not know the price, but betcha it's cheaper than the fancy refillable travel spray. (via press release)

From Guerlain, a red collector bottle of Guerlain Homme Intense made in collaboration with Italian car design firm Pininfarina. In 30 ml Eau de Parfum. (via moodiereport)

From Koto Parfums, a limited edition bottle of Hello Kitty, from the Pop-a-licious collection. In 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (also via moodiereport)

Lady Million solid perfume

From Paco Rabanne, Lady Million in a 2 gr solid perfume compact on a chain. 45€, due to launch in March. (via cosmopolitan.fr)

From Ralph Lauren, Romance in a special edition with a heart-charm bracelet. (via dutyfreemagazine.ca)

Yup. Time to bust out that sample of LouLou you sent to see if I “need” it. Although, by the time I replace my furnace on Thurs, my perfume budget will probably be $0.

I hope it’s easy to find, I’d like to buy it if it isn’t too badly priced.

Isn’t that sweet? And agree on the Cacharels, but don’t like any of those fragrances.

Love the Balenciaga mini, you can add me to the list of people waiting in line for it! 20mL is brilliant; I wish they’d all do those 🙂

Maybe we should try some mental telepathy. All together now, everyone think “20 ml sizes. 20 ml sizes. 20 ml sizes.” and maybe the perfume makers will get the message. OK, maybe not–but there is nothing to lose by trying, right?

I’m still surprised they’re doing a 20ml of Paris when there’s already a 30ml size (though I don’t know how widely available it is). The 50ml retails at $95 and there’s a 30ml that retails for $70, which isn’t a good price break. I’d be curious to see the price point of 20ml. Great scent though.

I would seriously consider those Cacharels, but I don’t think I will wear each one of them enough to justify it.

The original Guerlain Homme bottle was by Pininfarina so the difference with this one is the colour, clarity of the front glass and the car logo on it. The red may be a good choice for a car but it seems wrong for a mojito cocktail-based fragrance. If it was “Guerlain Homme Chaud” (Hot Man), and perhaps a different juice, it would work better for me. I suppose the fact that it’s an EDP and “Intense” makes it acceptable.
