Avon Imari Mystique ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 17 January 2011 14 Comments

Avon Imari Mystique

Avon has launched Imari Mystique, a new flanker to 1985's Imari perfume for women. Imari Mystique is fronted by singer Keri Hilson:

Introducing Imari Mystique - where temptation begins. Featuring Keri Hilson, award-winning R&B/pop superstar with two chart-topping albums. As a solo artist, guest vocalist and songwriter, Keri sizzles with her signature passion and undeniable sensuality.

Sultry and mysterious, an intriguing impression of intoxicating florals seductively laced over sexy woods and sensual black honey.

Avon Imari Mystique is available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette ($23) and in matching body products. (via avon)

Like bottle, notes sound ‘nice’, if not very exciting; will have to try…

I used to wear Imari! I was waaaay to young for it, but I loved it… I haven’t seen it in a million years, but I think I’ll ask the local Avon lady for a sample of this.

There was another flanker a couple years ago, Imari Seduction. Would guess the flankers skew younger, but don’t know.

younger…. eh. Probably not what I’m hoping for then. I’ll report back if I find different!

I have some Imari Seduction, with isn’t half-bad. This one sounds worth a try.

The original Imari is one of my cheap thrills! Didnt like Imari Seduction but will have a sniff at this when it becomes available here.

I do! Lovely lady that gives me small vials of any new perfume that they bring out. However, once on my wrist for a few hours, most of their fragrances end up smelling the same .

Florals, woods, and honey? Avon is always so vague with their descriptions. Haven’t smelled this yet. My favorite by Avon is True Glow. It’s amazing, but you’ll probably have to look on Ebay for it, cuz I think they discontinued it.

It makes me crazy how vague they are…and they’re trying to sell via mail & internet order! It’s insane.

I also liked the original Imari, though I haven’t smelled it in some time. The black honey has my interest piqued but I just came back from a chastening lesson at Wal-Mart. I was all ready to buy the Mariah Carey lollipops (or whatever they’re called) flanker in Honey but they actually had a tester out, though it was Gorilla-glued to the display stand. So I quickly just sprayed a little on the back of my hand and Pepe Le PEW! Not a trace of honey even now, an hour later. It’s a high-screechy, indistinguishable fresh-floral. So I will definitely be holding off on this Imari unless my sister can get a sample from the Avon lady at her workplace.
