That ad made me want… those candy-apple red shoes, of course. 🙂

A third for the love of shoes here-

(I think my previous comment grew legs and ran away – probably on those amazing shoes!)

It’s also because she looks so pale and washed out. I wanted to feed her too.

Agreed. Perhaps this is her natural body image, but what kind of message is it sending? I feel like feeding her donuts and bacon for 6 months, then re-shooting the ad.

The scent itself disappointed me. Just floral-fruity that impossible to remember or fall in love with…

Did nothing for me either, unfortunately.

Hi Everyone! It feels nice to be back on NST. I couldn’t remember my old e-mail address, only my username and couldn’t get on without it so I had to create a new account. Didn’t mean to be away soooo long, since NST is the best site PERIOD to discuss and blog about fragrance (and I have tried others), but I have experienced some personal losses in the last several months, so now that the waters are starting to calm, I feel free to join everyone once more and discuss one of life’s greatest creations-fragrance.
Mals- I like the shoes, but I would probably would take the heel down a bit or I can ad broken leg to my series for this year!

Hi Dolly, nice to see you back! Hope everything is okay now.

ahh, lovely red shoes….unfortunately they look pretty painful to me….I always admire lovely shoes, can’t wear them for more than 15 minutes without taking them off or praying for a quick death. Then it’s back to the athletic shoes….love my Nikes. 🙂

I doubt I could wear them, either, Dolly. I have weird feet and difficulty in finding shoes that fit… but I’d love to play with them! They’re so… shiny… and red… oooh, pretty…

Yes. I get that giddy feeling many times when I see something I like. A cross between ahhh and oh boy!

That’s what I thought: the girl is very pretty, but in dire need of a sandwich, and my, are those shoes pretty! In that order.

She is indeed in need of some nutrition. They need to start using some plus size ladies in ads.

What is sad is to realize that a “plus-size” model means size 12 (or over)–and the average American woman is a size 16. So at least 2/3 of all the women in the U.S. are “plus-size”.

This is a sad situation that the old saying,”Thin Is In” is still being dished out . I recently saw an ad on tv for a plus -size company and the model was completely breathtaking. As was that controversial( not in my words) photo of a plus size model in Glamour magazine last year with her pouch (also not my words). Hurray! These are also beautiful women. Look @ model Beverly Johnson’s daughter , who is a plus size model.

as a ‘plus-size’ lady with the same exact body measurements as those of the ‘plus-size model’ Crystal Renn, I vote for lots more models whose shoulder blades wouldn’t shred your arms if you put your arms around them!!!

i am having enough trouble trying to tell my granddaughters that guys love some meat on them lady bones!!!!! and it is models like this that my lovely girls see all the time…….not good.

As a plus-size lady myself, I can attest that my husband loves my curves and does not like twigs. BTW, I just looked up Crystal Renn after reading your post, and she is gorgeous! I think it is ridiculous that someone with her build would be considered “plus-size”. I read that she currently is 5’9″, 150 pounds, and wears a size 10. I am 5’9″, and when I was 150 pounds and size 10, I still considered myself slender, not “plus-size”.

Roses- you know most of the men I have talked to do not find women with no meat on their bones appealing. I recently read a book on the modeling industry that each runway season the ideal changes. One season it was 5’9″ and size 2. The next it was 5’10”, size 4 and 100 pounds? This is NOT healthy. I do not think it is a natural body shape to be 5’10” and 100 pounds. I think it’s cause for landing in the hospital on iv nutritional support.

Dree Louise Hemingway Crisman is a fashion model and actress. She is the daughter of Mariel Hemingway and Stephen Crisman, and the great-granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway. Hope she listens to her mom and stays away from the bulimic route!
I feel so terribly old now. I remember when Muriel was the hot young model! Yikes!
