Posted by Robin on 5 October 2010 23 Comments

YSL Parisienne à l'Extrême

Yves Saint Laurent has launched Parisienne à l'Extrême, a new, more intense version of last year's Parisienne fragrance.

The notes for the fruity floral fragrance include incense, berries, violet, rose, vanilla, patchouli, suede and musk.

Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne à l'Extrême is available in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum. (via puretrend, mode.glamourparis, tendance-parfums)

I’d like to smell it! Wonder if they took out the vinyl accord.

That’s what I’m wondering! I loved the vinyl accord and would have liked it stronger. It reminded me of being a teenager and savoring the smell of a new record.

I felt the same. I think this perfume is really fun. I can’t wait to smell this new version.

I hope they did take out the vinyl accord, I didn’t like it at all, it smelled too plasticky to me. I hope this one is perfect because I love that bottle!!!:)

I like the bottle in the darker color too. And have a feeling you win and the vinyl is gone 😉

i guess it’s selling well then? i found the original to be too cloyingly sweet, not pleasantly sweet like a patiserie, candy shop or even fresh, warm cotton candy might be. but rather a …. ‘wall’ of sweetness.

This one looks like it will do well. I really like Opium and the L’Homme version for men from Yves Saint Laurent.

Dammit, I didn’t “need” the first one of these. But I do like Parisienne… guess I’ll have to at least try this one.

Oh I can’t wait for this one! I LOVE the original Parisienne. Yeah I rather enjoyed the vinyl accord too. Would have been nice to make it more extreme but I guess they took it out completely. Oh well. I’m enjoying the darker bottle too. Hope it makes it to the US sooner than later. : )

have you seen the new Belle D’Opium I think it’s called.
I wanted to test it on my mum today in Debenhams but she wouldn’t and I couldn’t figure out if there was a cap or if it was the pump ?? and I didn’t want to break it so I sniffed the bottle and it smells quite nice, like kind of dark but sweet 🙂

I thought the first fifteen minutes of Parisienne were intriguing, after which it became completely forgettable. If the vinyl accord’s gone, I’m not interested any more.

HI Robin, did Sophia Grojsman do this one do you know? I can’t decide if I like it or not. It smells great but it’s not the sort of perfume I’d naturally reach for, if you know what I mean. It doesn’t fit into any of the normal categories. It’s rosy but not florally. It’s very black curranty but not really “fruity”. It’s slightly green but a little too sweet to be a true green. So, mals86, it still is intriguing.

I don’t know, sorry! I sort of doubt it though.

Hey S….Sophia Grojsman did design this along with Sophie Labbé. Also, apparently, the vinyle accord is still a strong part of the make-up. I cannot wait until this is available to purchase locally!!! 🙂

Hold onto your atomizers ladies. I wrote to YSL to learn when Parisienne L’Exteme would be available in US. This is what they told me:

Yves Saint Laurent Beauté products are sold worldwide but the product line varies from country to country.

Parisienne Extreme will not be available in the United States. We have information only on products available in the US and do not know of any way to order this product. Unfortunately, Yves Saint Laurent Beauté does not offer an international product online mail order service.
