Mistral Atelier Perfume Collection

Mistral has launched the Atelier Perfume Collection:

Mistral's new Atelier Collection celebrates the eternal art of perfumery. This selection of five original fragrances is presented in petite glass bottles, colorful black and gold-accented boxes. Designed to be worn alone or combined, these uniquely entrancing scents are warm, opulent, fresh, floral, and timeless.

Belle Fleur ~ "Pink peony petals and rich red roses are exquisitely combined in this magical, modern, and beautiful floral scent." Additional notes include blackcurrant, blackberry, bergamot, violet, cranberry, musk, vetiver and sandalwood.

Clementine ~ "Sweet and delightful, this citrus-floral blend is perfect for a summer afternoon on the Cote d'Azur." With mandarin, bergamot, orange, pineapple, jasmine, lily of the valley, orange blossom, cedarwood, amber and musk.

Nirvana ~ "Rich cacao, patchouli, vanilla, honey and ripe berries intermingle in this intoxicating scent." Additional notes include bergamot and caramel.

Nymphia ~ "White flowers, hints of ylang-ylang and blackcurrant unfold to create this soft, inviting scent." Additional notes include galbanum, nymphea, jasmine, aquatic notes, carnation, musk and vanilla.

Rêve d'Or ~ "Inspired by exotic desert sands, where lush oases are bathed in golden light; this warm, oriental fragrance is sensual and opulent." With peach, plum, geranium, jasmine, freesia, peony, sandalwood, vanilla and patchouli.

The Mistral Atelier Perfume fragrances are $20 each for 20 ml Eau de Parfum. (via mistralsoap)

Reve d’Or and Clementine are the most appealing to me….Nirvana sounds like a hot, sweet mess to me. Re-reading the notes just made me feel a tiny bit nauseated. A 20ml? for $20 ? Perfect for experimentation! but not the chocolatey one!

Several of them sound good…but have never tried anything from this brand.

Nirvana sounds a bit like Angel to me, for whatever reason….. I do like the promise of Clementine though.. I love that fresh citrus scent.

Have any of these perfumers (or their marketing departments) ever actually been to the mid-east?

An oasis provides some water but certainly not enough for peaches, plums, freesia and peonies. Cocoa is a South American plant, where I believe it comes from high mountains. Chocolate in fact melts very quickly in a dessert.

LOL! I was thinking the same.

That’s pretty much par for the course in the world of perfume 🙂

But desserts are where melted chocolate belongs….

Unless of course you mean desert. Which of course you do.

      LOL, yes!

So far as I know, you can get them at the website for now. Anthropologie or B-glowing both carry the line and maybe they’ll have them later.

Oh, I saw these at the Mistral store but I didn’t pay attention because I thought they were smaller versions of their other scents. I’ll have to go sample these.

If they made a perfume out of their Linden/Lettuce soap I’d be all over it. These are the kinds of things I’ll sniff if I happen upon them but probably won’t seek them out.

Okay, seriously? That is Angel, note for note. I know every house has to do a version of Angel sooner or later, but that borders on the ridiculous. No, it barges up to the ridiculous, knocks it out, and takes it hostage.
