Keiko Mecheri Attar de Roses & Les Zazous ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 23 August 2010 11 Comments

Keiko Mecheri Attar de Roses

Keiko Mecheri has launched two new fragrances, Attar de Roses and Les Zazous.

Attar de Roses (shown) ~ "Taif roses of Arabia, one of Keiko’s favourite ingredients opens the composition. Shiraz roses and jasmine reveal its irresistible presence. A gentle note of rose petal water gives its soothing softness." Additional notes include crystalline musk.

Les Zazous ~ "An ode to the dandies of Algiers, during the tumultuous '40s Post-War era. This fragrance captures their wild elegance through a chord of precious woods and silken floral notes. Notes of fresh aromatic chord, rose, lavender, sandalwood, balmy notes, vetiver and ambergris." Additional notes include mahogany honey wax, iris, blonde tobacco, incense and vanilla.

Keiko Mecheri Attar de Roses and Les Zazous can be found now at First in Fragrance in Germany, 139€ for 75 ml Eau de Parfum. (via first-in-fragrance, additional information via Keiko Mecheri at Facebook)

Not *more* Keiko Mecheri frags… Goodness but you could fill a bath tub with the releases just from this year! Okay. So I’m exaggerating a bit. But wow. Are they discontinuing their older releases to make room for the new ones? There were a few of those I’ve yet to try, as well, and all these new releases… It boggles the mind…

There are 2 more coming later this year, I think. Everybody needs to slow down!

Its hard enough keeping up with all the new releases. Now she adds more. I am still trying to work my way through her catalog, which is hard enough with all the other release’s by the different houses. I feel at times I could drown from all the sampling. Don’t leave much time for the Collection! LOL
As I wait for my next sample pack from The Perfume Shoppe.

I’m all for an ode to the dandies, but this is too much! It’s hard to be interested when they keep pumping out new releases. It makes me think they couldn’t possibly be quality fragrances at this rate, but maybe they just have so many good ideas they can’t stop? I’ll give Miss Mecheri the benefit of the doubt, since the Les Zazous sounds really good.

Whether you’re loaded with good ideas or not, I do think it’s best to convince your customer base that you’re not rushing anything.

Honestly!!!!!! Maybe they should work on a fragrance that has better staying power then the ones they have been pumping out. Its all becoming so generic. Give me something great Keiko Mecheri and i will try it 🙂
