so how many of the non-winners do you think dashed to Luckyscent to get a bottle? LOL —they’re going to open their system in another couple of hours and say “WTF? why the big rush on Carillon this morning?” Hope they don’t sell out! 😀

oh btw….I totally lay the blame for this purchase on Joe and Mitty for waxing poetic over it…my ability to resist is tenuous to begin with…

I got my bottle and it is beautiful and fascinating all at once with the way the perfume glides from phase to phase. I was trying to think of how to sum it up and what I think best describes the fragrance is a shaft of warm spring sunlight falling on a lily of the valley in my garden, and the shadowy surroundings that emphasize the damp earthy smell of the thawing ground around it. The little patch of lotvs only gets a few hours of sun in the morning, and this seems to just fit with the ephemeral beauty of the perfume. It is light and sparkling with a hint of shadows beneath and I quite love it.

The staying power is fantastic, and there is something in the far drydown that reminds me of another Andy Tauer fave, Une Rose Chypree, though I can’t say just what it is exactly but it keeps me nuzzling my wrist. 😉

Thanks so much again Andy, Robin and Luckyscent. It will be a joy to wear this next spring as a fragrant prelude of what’s to come.
