Slosh it on

Posted by Robin on 19 July 2010 8 Comments

An aged blend of vodka, vermouth, spermicide, and buttercream frosting, bottled in a flask. Slosh it on, ladies.

— The recipe for "Sex and the City Eau de Toilet", from Biblieauphilia, a list of "bookish dream scents" at the New Yorker. Many thanks to Nancy and Ruth for the link!

The “Remains of the Day” one is spot-on.

Vermouth? I thought they drank only Cosmopolitans and other girly drinks. Spot-on with the other three notes, though!

I don’t know what they drank in the book but I’ll take your word for it 🙂

I would wear the Great Expectations one! I’m totally having flashbacks to high school English class thinking about that book.

I especially liked the Charlie Mortdecai for Him description, as well as the Middlesex perfume oil. Loved that book. 🙂 Remains of the Day and Great Expectations would have to be added to the collection as well.
