John Richmond for Men ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 4 June 2010 11 Comments

John Richmond cologne for men

Milan-based designer John Richmond, who launched his debut fragrance for women, John Richmond Eau de Parfum, last year, is following up with John Richmond For Men. The "rock and chic" fragrance is aimed at unconventional men.

John Richmond for Men was developed by perfumer Domitille Bertier, and features notes of bergamot, ginger, orange blossom, cardamom, pepper, rosemary, watermelon, cedar, vetiver and amber.

John Richmond for Men will be available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette. It is due to launch later this month. (via sfilate.it, veraclasse.it)

Hope, that this will be sth interesting – fragrances from Euroitalia are usually well done.

I have not tried the women’s…not even sure if it’s in the US anywhere.

Women’s version is… not amazing, but rather original, with a character.

The woman’s version is (on my skin) a sweet pear with sweet magnolia. The mind says “nice soap”, the stomach says “nooooooo!”. But I know people who liked it.

Surprised by these notes, considering their fashion style, I would have predicted tobacco to be in the mix.
This sounds like it could be a riff on Burberry The Beat for men. Which I wouldnt mind

I ADORE A Watermelon Note, or Cucumber or Peach, but i am going on now! lol… I don’t see anything “Unconventional” about these notes. sounds just, Standard, not implying that that means it’s not going to be good, just i think they missed the mark! Does sound Nice Though!
