Salvador Dali Salvador Pour Homme ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 25 April 2010 5 Comments

Salvador Dali Salvador Pour Homme

Parfums Salvador Dali will launch Salvador Pour Homme, a new spicy woody amber fragrance for men:

SALVADOR, a fragrance that pays homage to Salvador Dali — a timeless dandy whose extravagance and originality was combined with refinement and distinction.

Salvador Pour Homme was developed by perfumer Michel Almairac; the notes include nashi pear, cinnamon, sandalwood, incense, vanilla and amber.

Salvador Dali Salvador Pour Homme will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via parfums-salvadordali)

Well this sounds like an interesting combination of notes (pear and cinnamon) Dali is usually not an expensive line, so this could be a winner.

I like the bottle too! 🙂

On the other hand, the Dalis for men tend to smell chemical after a while on me… so I am crossing my fingers! perhaps at last I’ll fully like one…

All of it sounds wonderful to me but the pear…pear makes everything smell like shampoo, LOL…but you’ll probably smell it before I will, so tell me if it’s great stuff.

Hi, I got to try this last night.
It is a very simple fragrance, but does not smell cheap (it does not smell like an hermessence either hehehehe)

It is funny that I bought Montana Homme some weeks ago and I think of that one as a “second tier” fragrance. Not something out of the ordinary but a very decent fragrance nonetheless, and maybe one I could grow to love over time. Like a comfort scent.
This is what I think of Salvador pour homme. Basically if someone gave me a bottle as a gift I would be happy, but I don’t think I’d buy it myself, unless it is ina compulsive shopping spree.

No surprises on the notes themselves, this is very literal. 🙂

Add remember I was finding an excuse to expand over my 10 bottle self-imposed limit?
Well I’ve decided to open the “Second Tier” Line, Montana Pour Homme is sitting there already… 9 more to go 🙂

Ha, good for you! Just watch that “3rd tier”, LOL…
