Nooooo! I’ve only been there once, back when I knew nothing about perfume! What happened??

I assume they’re not making money. I understand Bendel’s is having trouble too. I do think both stores would be healthier if they took advantage of internet sales, but hey, nobody asks me 🙂

Robin, I think you are right. Bendel’s is even worse, you can’t even buy any non-Bendel’s brand makeup/perfume on their website! Now that’s just infuriating.

        Sad!

And I have tried to shop their website, and was disappointed that a store with so many great niche products didn’t offer web based sales. And their flower department was amazing! And the tea shop! Where am I going to find peach tea with little chunks of peaches in it?

They had lovely teas…I will miss that.

I am so sad. My mother and I would go there together when I was a young girl. It was such a treat. It was always very quiet, and we felt it was “our store.” That was soooo long ago!

It was the most peaceful of the perfume stores in NY, but I guess it was *too* peaceful. 🙁
