Posted by Robin on 16 March 2010 13 Comments

Carolina Herrera 212 On Ice 2010

Carolina Herrera has launched 212 Ice 2010, her yearly limited edition summer versions of 1997's Carolina Herrera 212.

212 Men Ice 2010 ~ "A masculine fragrance with character. Black pepper heats up aquatic and fresh notes to finally end with a overwhelming woody trail." In 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

212 Ice 2010 ~ "A delicate and extremely feminine fragrance. Fresh citric notes and a sweet bench of flowers interacts with an intensely sensual trail." In 60 ml Eau de Toilette.

The Carolina Herrera 212 Ice 2010 fragrances are available now at Escentual in the UK. (via escentual)

The head notes are usually nice on this one, but give it 15 minutes and all that’s left is the standard CH, and that’s just not me 🙁

There aren’t many fresh scents that I like, but 212 Men is one of them, and this version sounds nice (if they don’t overdo the “aquatic”). And I like the packaging, a lot. I’ll definitely give it a try if I see it, which I can’t say about many mainstream scents these days.

The packaging is very cute — did not like the “On Ice” flankers though.

I really liked the original 212 for men – I’d get a sniff and then Im off to la-la land. =) Didnt like the 212 sexy version though but this one looks interesting. Will check it out once it becomes available here

Might as well give it a shot.

The sheer number of flankers for 212 are so overwhelming… I wouldn’t know where to begin. The version for men sounds good, but then the aquatic freshness bit kills it for me. I’m sure it is nice enough on the right person, though, and it doesn’t sound bad as far as colognes go.

They’ve gone overboard with this one, IMHO — esp. considering it isn’t a masterpiece to begin with.

I guess I’m the only one who thought “trail” was hilariously euphemistic? I hope not….
