I know that Ulta had a Givenchy Organza Indecence last year… Is this the same rereleased OI? I’m planning on snagging a bottle of OI for old times sake and want to be sure I’m buying it as I knew it, which I figured would have to be done via the Bay.

Yes…it’s the one from the Mythiques collection. Just announcing it because it’s still rather hard to find online.

I’m still curious to smell OI and didn’t realize it had been relaunched. Is the new one drastically or badly reformulated?

I never managed to smell it (in fact have never laid eyes on it!) but have heard yes, reformulated, but very differing opinions on how much or how well.

I have been a lurking member for more than a year; this is actually my first post on this lovely, fantastic perfume blog 🙂

My strong feelings for OI made me overcome my shyness 🙂 I felt I had to “defend” the reformulated OI and say that IMO even the reformulated version is still worth seeking out. It might not be “as good”, it is somewhat sweeter, but its “dryness” manages to temper the sweetness. I dont´t detect much difference in the drydown, but my memory might fail me. I don´t have any of the original formula left. But, even so, this new version is still yummy and very sexy… And it last for many, many hours. It garners compliments – from both men and woman. It is absolutely swoon worthy 🙂 That is if you love cinnamon in the first place; because that note lasts, at least on me, for many hours and then finally fades in the far drydown.

Hi and welcome! Thanks for the detailed review. I do think it’s sometimes best to not have any of the original left to compare, no? If it’s still wonderful, I’ll go right on wearing it.

Joe, I think there’s a thread about it here on NST, and from what I recall, it has been pretty much butchered from what it used to be. I have a mini I got back in the 90’s as a GWP so I have a point of reference as I’ve considered buying a sample of the new version. $150 and up is a lot for a frag I paid half as much for back then, but that was around ten years ago. And I suppose it’s not much considering the price of a few new frags *coughcough Creede and By Kilian coughcough* If you want to send me an email at MUA, I could send you a sample of the old version. I’m AbsoluteScentualist there. 🙂
