Coming in March from Issey Miyake will be a pair of limited edition versions of L'Eau d'Issey:
L’Eau d’Issey Fleur de Bois for women features a new version of the classic scent with notes of rose, mimosa, freesia, cedar and amber. From perfumer Jacques Cavallier, in 75 ml Eau de Toilette.
L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme Edition Bois is a collector bottle of the original fragrance. In 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

It is annoying. But the redundant flanker names are good to at least give me the green light to keep on driving by: Nothing to see here! Move along!

I like the original… it was my first adult perfume purchase. I collect the flankers, and this one sounds interesting (some were repurposed as room sprays).
I’ve always passed by the Issey Miyake fragrances for some reason. I haven’t even smelled them because I am under the impression that they are very light fragrances, no?
Sort of light but “persistent.”
They are persistent, and rather than actually light, more “water”-y

I think I was about 18 when I got L’Eau D’Issey, it’s one of my first adult purchases too. It’s not bad when most of my friends were wearing the latest sexy-over-the-top-sweet-fruity concoctions. I can’t wear it now though, it’s simply not me anymore 🙂

LOL…it was, it was…and so of course I did not even think of that. Duh.
I’ll at least give it a sniff. I liked the original, way back when (haven’t smelled it for so many years now, I don’t know what I’d think of it these days), and handled right, I really like mimosa.

The Issey Miyake scents and I are no friends. I often tried it, but it was always a no.
Oh well.
My problem with all the Issey Mikayes is that I can’t keep them straight: too many I’s and L’s and Eau’s and apostrophes!
