Carthusia Gelsomini di Capri ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 30 September 2009 4 Comments

Carthusia Gelsomini di Capri

Italian niche line Carthusia has launched Gelsomini di Capri (Jasmines of Capri):

Delicate sweet fruity notes are brought together in a delicate but intriguing fragrance which is fresh but persistent. A primary role is played by the jasmine and Egyptian geranium, combined with clove and with ylang-ylang from the Comoros islands. The middle notes blend zagara from Morocco with cedar wood from Texas, mixed and mingling, in an intoxicating climax, with the musky amber notes of bees wax from France, vanilla from Madagascar and Turkish rose.

Carthusia Gelsomini di Capri is available in 50 ml Parfum, and possibly other sizes and concentrations: I'll update if I can find out. (via intertradeurope)

Note that Carthusia had an older fragrance called Gelsomini di Capri that was apparently only available in the brand’s shop on Capri; I do not know if this new one has any relation to the old.

Hmmmm, sound very nice! I wonder what zagara is though.

It’s neroli (an oil from orange blossom).
