During prolonged stress

Posted by Robin on 25 August 2009 16 Comments

“Specifically it greatly reduces the structural changes that occur in the hippocampus [a part of the brain associated with memory and spatial orientation] during prolonged stress thus maintaining normal memory function,” he explained.

— Dr Nickolas Lavidis of Queensland University, Australia, explains how his product, SerenaScent (which apparently smells like freshly cut grass), works. You can read more at Stress relieving scent has ‘enormous’ potential for fragrances and cosmetics at Cosmetics Design, or check out the SerenaScent website, where a 50 ml spray is $7.90 AUD.

Ohhhhh I think I need this! I’m a chronic stress-ball, and I love the smell of grass. And the price can’t be beat, either! Have to see if they’ll ship here…

Let us know if it works! And of course, if it smells good.

I just ordered some. If it’s terrible, I can always use it as air freshener….

It looks like it is air freshener, not perfume., and to spray on sheets and whatnot. I am such a ball o stress I might have to send for some.

ooo – they have massage oil. Now if I could just train Buster to aim his paddy-pawing at my shoulders instead of my boobs I’d dip his paws in it and put him to work.

Mmmm, can always use a stress-reducer (although my stress levels have gone down since my kid’s school started yesterday). . ..
