Glitch in login procedures

Posted by Robin on 2 June 2009 8 Comments

Several people commented in Angela's article on Masculines and feminines yesterday to note that they had difficulty logging in and had to enter their data more than once for it to "take". I wrote about this (annoyingly intermittent) glitch shortly after we moved and noted that it was on my list of things to fix, but since it isn't fixed yet, I'll repeat it here: if you log in and the page doesn't show you as logged in — that is, you enter your data and don't see the "Welcome" box instead of another blank "Login" box — don't worry: unless you saw an actual error message, you're logged in. You don't need to hit refresh or do anything else. If you want to be sure, you can hit the small "login" button on the widget a second time without entering anything, and that should refresh the screen.

Hey, R — yeah, it shows me as never logged in, I’ve just been hitting the refresh screen which seems to take care of it.

It’s annoying. Trying to fix it is even more annoying.

Heh. As you well know, I am in no position to judge the glitches on other blogs. Our comments are still messed up.

    Robin,
I have no trouble logging in, but I would like to make a suggestion for a lazy day poll. I’d like to know where on their body people apply a fragrance, and does it vary according to which scent they’re wearing? Or for the occasion (romantic dinner vs. important meeting etc)?

LOL…not entirely sure I want to go there! But will add it to the list.
