Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2009, part 5

Posted by Robin on 17 May 2009 12 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

DSquared2 She Wood roll on Viktor & Rolf Petite Flowerbomb

From Dsquared2, a 7 ml Perfume Oil roll-on version of She Wood with a leather case; 35€. (via veraclasse.it)

And from Viktor & Rolf, the new "Petite" version of Flowerbomb. 20 ml for $50, coming soon to Nordstrom. (via style.com)

Biotherm Eaux limited edition 2009

From Biotherm, limited edition bottles of Eau d'Energie, Eau Vitaminee and Eau Pure. 41€ each at Biotherm in France.

Acqua di Gio Pour Homme ScubaEmporio Armani He limited edition

From Giorgio Armani, the very popular Acqua di Gio Pour Homme in the Scuba limited edition, featuring a "scuba-inspired drawstring bag" (shown above left). $95 for 200 ml Eau de Toilette, at Dillards.

And also from Armani, limited edition versions of the Emporio Armani He (shown above right) and She fragrances: "These stunning special editions are presented in metallic finish bottles, encased in Plexiglas outer cases surrounded with an Emporio Armani bracelet." £38.50 for 50 ml at Debenhams in the UK.

It isn’t shown on the US Biotherm site, so not sure it’s being distributed here.

i think some of these perfume companies need to have counseling from environmental impact groups. I wouldn’t mind a little bottle of SheWood but I don’t need a gigantic box OR a leather case for it. I don’t need my Armani in a plexiglass box. On and on. And I would venture to guess that cute little Flowerbomb comes in a friggin’ hatbox.

      Yep…lots of extraneous packaging.

Robin, I know this isn’t the spot to say this but they just released the press release and pic of the bottle for Queen Latifah’s new scent, “Queen by Queen Latifah”. Parlux is on a role this week! Maybe next week we’ll get the image for Jessica Simpson’s new one!

L’Oreal has been struggling with the price point of Flower Bomb – I wonder if this is their solution to draw in more consumers… cute bottle, though. Less grenade-like looking.

Could be…but at that price, might just emphasize how expensive Flowerbomb is!
