Avon 50’s glam, 60’s mod ~ new perfumes

Posted by Robin on 8 April 2009 20 Comments

Avon Modern Vintage fragrances

Avon has launched 50's glam and 60's mod, two new fragrances in a series of vintage-inspired perfumes:

50's glam (shown above left) is a "romantic bouquet of blushed florals, voluptuous fruits and fresh, green sophistication." Additional notes include rose and honeysuckle.

60's mod (shown above right) is a "bold and colourful declaration of peppered plum, violet leaf and sensual white woods."

Avon 50's glam and 60's mod are available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette. They can be found now in the UK, and will launch elsewhere later in the year. (quotes via avonshop.co.uk, additional information via cosmoty.de)

Also new from Avon: Avon Spotlight, Jet, Wish of Luck, Avon + Christian Lacroix Absynthe, Chic in Black.

    Cute idea…can’t wait for “70’s Hip” and “80’s Hair”…

80’s hair would be funny! Possibilities for bottle design are endless, LOL…

I think “80s Hair” already exists and it’s called Ma Dame….

Oh no, I like Ma Dame! I own a bottle (hooray for Sephora 30ml). It smells like hairspray, but in a good way if that makes any sense.

I like it too, and entirely agree with the hairspray!

Neither of these interest me, but then neither do the decades they’ve chosen. Hopefully they’ll go on to do 40s Swing or 20s Gin…but somehow I doubt it.

Yes, it could get fun if they go farther back! Leave the 70s & 80s out, LOL…

They sure are cranking out the fragrances. They seem to release a handful every month.

Yes, they really don’t seem to have slowed down at all lately.

I adore those bottles and “peppered plum” could be amazing if done right. *Crosses fingers*

They are cute! And cheap, which always helps.

I would think so…do you get most Avon stuff?

Only the extralasting lipsticks. I like them a lot
Some of Avon’s perfumes have not been launched yet in Argentina (i.e. Christian Lacroix Absynthe).

Ah…well, hope these will get there! Most stuff seems to launch in Europe first.

I’ll admit I’m very taken with the ’60’s mod design. Feel I must have on my dresser (I’m an op-artist of sorts as well). Adorable.

They’re cheap enough to buy for the bottles!

I bought the 50s glam as a blind buy ,not the usual thing I go for but it is light fresh and lasts quite well and not to girley and I have had quite a few people compliment me on how nice I smell ,for sick squid (£6)not bad might just try the 60s on next
