They are saying: “Christian Lacroix – his fashion is fascinating, his perfumes unleash passion. Absynthe, the new mysterious scent by Christian Lacroix”, blah blah blah. Very inventive ad, indeed 🙂

See, I was right — it's just as good without knowing what they're saying, LOL…

But thanks for letting us know!

This ad made me revisit the note listing for this perfume- this will have to be a cheapie unsniffed purchase for me.
    Sigh. Stupid cute green bottle.

I understood the last two words. Clearly 'Avon lady' is an international term!

Lol – there must be some kind of rule in international broadcasting that if the words are American-based, then use your best flat American accent and deepen your voice a couple octaves. Notice this hasn't changed since the 80s with Le Jardin de “Max Factor”.

I am also buying this unsniffed. My sister's friend is my “Avon Lady” and she has it preordered for me. I have Rouge and, while it's not spectacular, it is definitely above par of many of the Avon fragrances, especially the newer releases. So I have hope for this one. Plus the ruby bottle next to the peridot of this bottle will definitely ad to the colorful display of bottles on my dresser!

I think it would be much more fun to fake up a translation: “Christian Lacroix. Makes good perfume, but don't pour it on your electrical panel, or you'll blow out all your lights. Christian Lacroix. Makes wonderful clothes, but don't use the perfume as laundry detergent or your dress will melt as you spin. But if you want to smell good, contact your Avon Lady!”

    Yes! I like this idea…

'Christian Lacroix: for external use only. Otherwise we cannot be responsible. Talk to your Avon Lady, when you regain your eyesight.'

the perfume sounded good.. I won't buy it unsniffed though.
I love the way Slovak sounds
My fav band is German, and I read their Czech/Slovak fanpages (i don't know why I don't read the German or English sites) so I want to learn Slovak. I'm already trying to learn Czech but I only know the months, question words, rozhovor and termíny
But soon I will be fluent in Czech and I can move to Slovak and I will be able to understand this ad.

I used to know a few words of Czech, but they're now long forgotten…

I had to laugh at the “avonlady” too. Haven't heard of this one yet but I work with an avonlady so I'll ask her for a sample.

Well, I love the commercial and will be testing this one. Avon is on a roll with marketing.

Interesting product release from Avon. I never thought I would see ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING like this from them. Avon chasing the green fairy? Like I said in a previous post, my interest is piqued, hehe! I'm interested to see what their take on Absinthe would be…

Slovak is soft and sexy 🙂

If you manage to learn Czech, you're good… it's pretty difficult, especially compared to English.
