This sounds interesting! Guava? Yum. Haven't sniffed Bali or Emerald. Were they any good?

My mind keeps wanting to read it as BASIL Dream. ;0

I only sniffed Emerald very quickly, and hardly remember it. Never tried the Bali. Sorry I'm no help!

This sounds like a delicious desserts. I would definitely try it, but am leery that it may be too adolescently sweet.

Ditto. In fact, I read it as Basil Cream at first. I thought Robin was starting a new line in recipes.

I sniffed Bali Dream and thought it was quite attractive, but then I thought the same about Emerald Dream, which seems to be universally despised! I don't like the bottle design – it reminds me of those plastic bags you freeze water in for ice-cubes. (Do you get those in the US, with all those big ice-making fridges?)

I don't know if you get those bags here, but I've never seen them!

They usually appear at the regular counters after awhile, I think. You can keep the pineapple 😉

    Why only guava?

They could have also used another Brasil's rainforest plants on the composition, like Andiroba, Priprioca.

I've never seen them in the US, but I brought some home from England. They are great!

Pleasures is so wearable. But you're right — they don't usually go for sheer at EL.

To me, the bottle looks like an air mattress. I should be floating in a pool, wearing Brasil Dream and sipping a mai tai.

I do so love guava – addicted to the Pacifica guava soap.

The Emerald Dream is very green to me and reminds me of Calyx. I quite like it and regret not buying a bottle when I had the chance. I will have to keep my eye out for it. I do have Bali Dream and, although it is ok, it doesn't wow me. I would desribe it as inoffensive.

You can still find the ED here online at the discount stores, but I know that doesn't help you any.

I own Perfume do Brasil Priprioca by Natura and I love it.

Bahiana by MPG was lovely too.

I'd buy all Brazil inspired perfumes, it's a country I'm fond of.

That makes Emerald Dream the odd one out. It's not named after a city.

Other than the cap, the bottle is nicer in person (I was at the airport last night).

I didn't try it–my wrists were full of stuff I wanted to test–they had Kouros Sport and Dior Homme Sport!

I dropped by my local Nordie's to check when it'd be available. The EL SA hadn't heard of it. Will check back later…..

It's a travel retail exclusive, and hasn't even launched there yet. I'd guess that if it does go into regular stores, it won't be until late 2009.

Not easy to find w/o citrus, in fact, nothing comes to mind.

This is an ancient thread… but I’m going to add to it today.

I’m a young 50 (no one believes my age…) and friends tell me I have a ‘sparkly pink’ aura. So, that may give you a frame of reference to my comments below.

I have Emerald Dream, Bali Dream and Brasil Dream. The bottles define them as a series, and fit nicely in my hand. I quite like the packaging.

As for the scents, I love them all in their own right:

    1. My body chemistry seems to gel with Emerald Dream – at first it’s a little abrasive (whoa horsey!) but it softens quickly and the fragrance is just lovely on my skin. It really suits my personality. I wear this when I am looking for a fresh scent that has some oomph to it… ie: to a business meeting.

    2. Bali Dream is a summer scent – it’s February 2020, and it disappears almost instantly in the cold Toronto winter… but it is lovely and softer than the other 2 ‘Dreams’.

    3. Brasil Dream is divine – sexy, grown up, exotic and subtle… it has a kick that is so satisfying, and some serious staying power. Definitely not for little girls – the lingering scents are Patchouli, Sandalwood and Neroli… a delicious combination.
