I hate that they're calling True Religion 'delicious', because it's anything but.

Is it bad, or just dull?

Blonde woods? Robin, you might have to add a perfume lexicon to your website! 🙂

    “Sparkling fruits”? Oh-er…

And I've always thought of TR as quite trendy, even edgy. Certainly not “delicious”, which implies tame. And the whole “enveloping your spirit” and “embracing you in deep sensuality” nonsense reads like some spa chakra treatment.

Not sure I would know how to define it except “generic wood smell”, LOL…

They wouldn't be the first edgy brand to do a boring fruity floral, no?

Yes. Can't decide if it's interesting in a good way or a bad way, and have a feeling I need to see it in person to decide.

“Generic BLEACHED wood smell,” I'd wager.

Can I just say I am seriously tired of “sparkling” this and that? Unless the juice is actually carbonated, I don't think it applies. Hmph.

I wouldn't classify it as another Ed Hardy – True Religion is slightly better quality. There's still the de rigeur sparkling fruit and gourmand feel, but there's a little more depth in the base notes. It's a light fragrance, but not as bubble gum as some of the others. The bottle is pretty in person.

LOL — can't agree since I use the word frequently in reviews. To me, it does have some meaning in terms of the “texture” of the top notes — indicates that they don't smell flat.

…and then there is effervescent. That kinda conjures up carbonated fragrance, hmm. It could happen if they could make it so it doesn't go flat. It would be nice for summer and the teens would eat it up.Well I won't rush to the patent office, we will probably see it soon enough.

Gorgeous Bottle. But again, what is with this Blase Vagueness in the scripts these companies continue to produce to describe their fragrances???? COULD IT BE ANYMORE Nondescript? Sparklng Fruits, Warm Woods and Skin-Like Musks…. GEE That's Evocative! DESCRIBE THE SCENT PEOPLE! don't simply intimate what it's about! i hope it smells nice, cus from this description i have nothing to go on to base any ideas of it being good or not!!!!

I went shopping at Nordstrom yesterday looking for a new signature scent and came across the new True Religion…

BORING. Ed Hardy is much more interesting (though too vanilla/tonka bean-y for my taste), even though it is in the same vein. TR smells like a younger Burberry Brit (nothing edgy here!), so it ought to be a huge hit with their target audience. I'm not a fan, but I expect it will SELL.

I'm into very fruity scents, so I ended up purchasing Annick Goutal Petite Cherie. It's slightly more sophisticated than the Escada LEs I usually wear.

It is true, they did not expend much energy on the description, did they? Some of these brands don't seem interested in the online sell.

If it's duller than Ed Hardy, I hardly need any 🙂

Petite Cherie is a great scent, and the matching lotion is wonderful too.

What a bummer about the TR fragrance. The bottle looks pretty online but I haven't seen it in person. A refreshing journey doesn't even sound interesting.

Agree on “a refreshing journey” — not enticing.

Is this bottle opaque or just frosted? It's hard to tell. Also, it looks like there's a simulated diamond in the middle, but again hard to tell. The bottle looks a cloud with the scalloping. Worth a sniff.

But I'm not even trying the Clean Winter one. I know I will hate that one. Not a fan of the Clean juices….

It's frosted, not opaque… and that IS a big ugly rhinestone stuck on the front. I could do without it. The bottle was not nearly as impressive in person as I thought it would be.

I've heard wonderful things about the lotion, so I just ordered some 🙂

Maybe it will help the scent of the perfume, which is divine but short-lived even in EDP, last a little longer!
