Posted by Robin on 22 September 2008 7 Comments

Fragonard Caresse fragranceFragonard has launched Caresse, a new version of a 1929 perfume:

Re-created from a historic Fragonard Perfume, CARESSE is a sweet harmony of French Mediterranean flowers and fruits: rose, jasmine, orange blossom, mandarine, peach and apricot.

Fragonard Caresse is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum, and can be found now in the US at Four Seasons. (quote via fragonard)

Oilily Blue Sparkle fragranceOilily has launched Blue Sparkle, a "refreshing" fragrance for teens and young women.

The notes include lemon, peach, apple, black currant, violets, water lily, carnation, sandalwood and musk.

Oilily Blue Sparkle is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching body products. (via gofeminin.de)

Not crazy about the notes in Caresse, but may have to have that bottle!

Not crazy about either one of them. The bottles are pretty – Caresse's bottle looks like something from 1920's.

It's gorgeous, although like Guerlain's black Shalimar bottle better.

Also chiming in to say that's a nice Fragonard bottle (noticed on their site that it's a signature bottle — has it always been considered a ripoff of Shalimar?). Have never tried any of their line. Curious, in a general sense. Yowza! — Their men's line is CHEAP… I might need to try their Santal and do some reading up on reviews.

Don't know, and for that matter, don't know if the Shalimar bottle was considered “original” when it appeared.

I used to think of the Fragonard line as reasonably priced, but with the exchange rate, now it doesn't seem quite so cheap to me! But yes, they've still got some cheap scents. The one I really liked was Eau des Garrigues, later renamed Figuier something, now apparently gone entirely 🙁

I find the original Une Caresse to be a quite beautiful scent.

Does anyone happen to have any leftovers from the past they can sell me?
