Yves Rocher Tendre Jasmin ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 17 September 2008 9 Comments

Yves Rocher Tendre Jasmin fragranceYves Rocher has launched Tendre Jasmin, the latest in the Secrets d'Essences collection (see Voile d'Ambre, Rose Absolue, Iris Noir), under the tag line "innocently sexy by nature".

Tendre Jasmin was developed by perfumer Jacques Cavallier, and the notes include jasmine, mandarin, citron, orange blossom and mimosa.

Yves Rocher Tendre Jasmin is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum and in a 15 ml travel spray. It is available now from Yves Rocher in France; in the US, we're still waiting for last year's Iris Noir to arrive so guessing we'll have a long wait for this one. Update: thank you to Rose for letting me know that the Iris Noir is available online in the US!

Also new from the Yves Rocher Secrets d'Essences line, new lighter, brighter Eau de Toilette versions of Voile d'Ambre and Rose Absolue.

I love jasmine flower and this perfume looks so nice. I'm sure it will be very light but I'd love to try it. Yves Rocher, at least here in US is soooo slow. With their new arrivals, with their customer service – everything! That just turns me off.

The others in the Secrets d'Essences line haven't been that light, I don't think, but this one admittedly doesn't sound so heavy. On the other hand, the list of notes is obviously leaving out the base, so who knows!

So agree on the slow part. It's frustrating to order from them online.

An Yves Rocher created by Jacques Cavallier? Must try this one. The bottle is very attractive – reminds me of Guerlain's Champs Elysees or something Bvlgari would use.

I have a mini of this already (I'm in Europe) and I foolishly tried it on one wrist while testing Bulgari's Jasmine Noir on the other. No contest. The Jasmine Noir blew it out of the water and made it smell cheap.

It's very difficult to get these 'common' scents to smell expensive and good and my impression was that Tendre Jasmin just hadn't lived up to the first two releases in the excellent Essences line (amber and rose). I'm still unconvinced by Iris Noir too.

Oh, and by 'common', I mean frequently used, as opposed to anything else.

Sorry it isn't as good. I also though the Amber & Rose were very well done, esp. for the price, but really at any price. I didn't care for the Iris either.

So pleased you like Jasmin Noir, Wordbird! My other half just bought me a bottle whilst over in Germany – so strange to picture him in a perfume shop! I only discovered JN two days ago thanks to a tip off from another NST member, Farah. I think I may have found a great new staple evening scent. Though I have wanted to try Voile d'Ambre for some time, having a sneaking affection for EL's Intuition, with which I have seen it compared. Don't know whether to go for EDT or EDP though…
