The lady with a gun is a symbol

Posted by Robin on 12 July 2008 19 Comments

A short film for Citizen Queen, the latest fragrance from Juliette Has A Gun. From Hortensiatv at YouTube, where you'll also find an interview with Romano Ricci, the brand's founder (and the source of the quote used as this post's title).

lol – that was so film-school-project I had to laugh.
I've never smelled any of their perfume, so can't really comment on that part.

    Umkay…

I agree with Tama. Citizen Queen will continue on my list to try, despite the inane little film.

“Ghomano” Ricci comes off as a bit playful and shy.

Dunno why, but I love both JHG's current releases to pieces. Well, I do know why: they're very well-executed, quality rose scents with lots of edginess and quite remarkable staying power. So, expecting VERY good things with the new. And Monsieur R. seems like a real sweetie, so bonus!

Robin, I saved your list of great rose scents and have been sending feelers out to snag samples of them all. Ta'if is truly amazing. . .

Isn't Ta'if lovely?? I have only a decant and most unfortunately it has not held up well. I would really love to buy a full bottle.

I'm with you! I'd love full bottles of most all of Ormonde Jayne fragrances. That Frangi is out of this universe, and Woman is supremely lovely. Now, anybody, who can tell Robin and me some smell-alikes of those?? Available here with no fuss or muss, and the price of a bottle of Stetson? Is that really TOO much to ask?? 😀

LOL — it may not be too much to ask, but it's more than you're gonna get 😉

This made me LOL! Total art school project but captivating nonetheless.
I was unimpressed by Miss Charming and Lady V – and I'm a rose lover. Let me be more specific – for the *price* I am unimpressed. The marketing is brilliant and I love the name so I still have hope for Citizen Queen and look forward to trying it.

I thought they were nice, but not quite as special as they ought to be, so agree. But they have found lots of fans. I'm looking forward to CQ too.

Is it just me, or do those 2 men look like they could use a bath and some perfume themselves? I was hoping something interesting would happen, but it never did. . . . especially with a name like Juliette has a gun?

That's the hallmark of an art film, right? Nothing ever happens.
