Posted by Robin on 31 March 2008 18 Comments

Victoria's Secret Isle of Pink fragranceVictoria's Secret has introduced Isle of Pink, a new limited edition fruity floral fragrance:

Head to the exclusive Isle of Pink, the latest fragrance obsession from Victoria's Secret Pink. Think Caribbean beach club and cute cabana boys, with a flirty blend of raspberry sorbet, iced tulip and vanilla bean. It's a spring break vacation, in a bottle. Comes in a Pink logo drawstring bag.

The notes feature raspberry sorbet, pink currant, frozen mango, sugar apple, coconut water, iced tulip, heliotrope, freesia water, rose nectar, amber, cashmere musk and vanilla bean.

Victoria's Secret Isle of Pink is available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum and in 250 ml Shimmering Fragrance Mist. (via victoriassecret)

Rich Hippie Shambala fragranceRich Hippie has launched Shambala, an organic, "light, sweet floral" fragrance:

Nothing can raise your spirits quite like a delicious new scent – not only does it put a spring in your step but it can also boost your confidence and make you feel sexier than ever. This heady scent is a blend of organic Indian Jasmine, French Lavender Flowers, Croatian Lavender, Bulgarian Rose Petals and Madagascan Ylang Ylang flowers.

I'm terrible — I've never even smelled it!! For some reason it cracks me up that the bottle says “limited edition” right on the label.

they need to break away from the pink for a minute, and try like… green or gray or something.

Their whole youth-sub-line is called “Pink”, so I think they're stuck w/ the theme!

Iced tulip??? Tulips have so scent, as pretty as they are. Are you sure this isn't one of those Prix de Faux winners? Don't answer…I've seen the scent in VS although I had too much sense of self-respect (self-preservation?) to sniff it…

shambala sounds great, but i've seen those notes in a million other perfume oils, so it doesn't sound very exciting either… of course, i might be pleasantly surprised!
also, since when does spring break smell like iced tulips?! i always thought of seaside air, chlorine, and good drinks, myself.

I'm still laughing about the “cute cabana boys” line.
Plus I went to a cheap state university in the south so spring break just means Panama City Beach which during this time smells vaguely like oily salt air, boiled peanuts and vomit.

“The smell of spring break??!” Bacardi, suntan lotion and vomit?

    No thanks. 😛

what's that weird smell that's always in VS stores that smells like scented tampons? That's not this fragrance line, is it?

Maggiecat, someone just commented on another scent recently to say that there ARE tulips with scent. I wouldn't know…certainly none of the ones I grow do. Either way, doubt any scented tulips died to make Isle of Pink 😉

The store smells like cotton candy & amber to me…but don't know where that smell comes from. Maybe they pipe it in?

Perhaps the frozen mango & sugared apple are to account for the “good drinks”?

I've liked the few Rich Hippie scents I've tried, but not enough to pay the prices.

It's a great line…but agree, spring break is not what I want to smell like.

    That might make sense.

Yeah, I'm the same way with black pheonix alchemy lab– I like their stuff, but it's a bit much, what with s&h.

all the victorias have been awful… when i was in high school the locker room smelled of love spell and sweat, the thought of the smell is enough to get my nauseated (yes, i am a little anal retentive about BO)… everything from VS smells like candy and air freshener…

i doubt the market needs another fruity floral in a cheap looking pink bottle. i miss bottles that are a bit heftier, the cool feeling of thick glass that sits in my hand (not clunky, mind you, with small hands it's hard to maneuver the nozzle!)…

I gave up on BPAL — too many releases, can't keep up.

The market doesn't need it, but as long as women continue to buy it, there it will be 🙂
