I didn't know where to post this question. Have you ever tried the Bobbi Brown signature fragrance, with the green top? I just smelled it the other day and it is really interesting. I can't believe it has taken me so long to try it. I would like to know who created it–I'm sure Bobbi helped out.

You mean the one called just “Bobbi”, right? I'm pretty sure I've tried it but I'm out of town so can't check my notes. Will look into it on Sunday…

Thank you! I kind of like it…it is different in a good way. I'm surprised I don't hear more about it.

No, it turns out I have not smelled it. It was developed by perfumer Claude Dir, and here is a quote from WWD that you might find interesting (12/5/97):

Not surprisingly, she took a personal approach in developing the scent with Quest International. “I wanted a scent that women could wear for themselves,” she said, noting the objective was to design a scent that “takes you back to a place, a place where you feel pretty, a feeling that was clean and it was romantic. It is the quickest thing that a woman can give to herself.”

The result is complex — a fresh, green, citrus blend with a top note that includes bamboo and a floral mid-note designed to be feminine but not sweet.

Thank you so much! I ended up ordering a bottle. It is really nice…I just can't believe I skipped over it.

I'll have to give it a smell on my next mall trip!
