Posted by Robin on 5 February 2008 21 Comments

Fresh Cannabis Rose perfumeComing this month from Fresh, a new fragrance for women, Cannabis Rose:

Cannabis Rose Eau de Parfum is the ultra-sensual and completely intoxicating floral counterpart to the highly popular Cannabis Santal Collection. Top notes burst with the captivating aroma of Bulgarian roses infused with pomegranate flower and Italian bergamot. An alluring blend of cannabis accord, sheer jasmine, and rich dark chocolate make the heart of this sultry scent truly intoxicating, while base notes of white musk, patchouli, and oolong tea leave a lasting sensual finish.

Fresh Cannabis Rose will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products. (via fresh) Update: see a review of Fresh Cannabis Rose.

Other recent releases from Fresh: Mangosteen, Violette.

Monocle Comme des Garcons Scent 1: HinokiMonocle magazine ("a global briefing covering international affairs, business, culture and design") has launched a new fragrance created in conjunction with Comme des Garçons, Scent One: Hinoki:

Produced for us by Comme des Garçons' perfumer, Antoine Maisondieu, Hinoki is a cedary, woody scent inspired by Japanese hot-spring baths and Scandinavian forests.

The fragrance notes feature cypress, turpentine, camphor, cedar, thyme, pine, Georgian wood, frankincense, moss and vetiver.

Monocle + Comme des Garçons Scent One: Hinoki can be puchased directly from Monocle or at selected Comme des Garçons boutiques, and is £55 for 50 ml Eau de Toilette. (quotes via Monocle, additional information via osmoz)

Hey Karen! I haven't, but have to admit I was not enthralled with the Cannabis Santal. I'll give it a shot though, I'm sure, when it hits the stores.

Scent One; Hinoki sounds so good and so different from the mainstream fragrances!

Fresh is out of my reach, litterally.

Robin, this morning I saw two fragrances by 'Eisenberg' at Sephora, have you ever heard of this house?

Did not try them, but tried Givenchy Absolute and thought of you for this one contains apple… Usually I do not mind apple but Absolute is the worst scent with apple sofar, to my nose..:)

Sounds like Borneo, doesn't it? But Fresh will make it fresh (duh) and light, I'm sure.

    Agree on the Hinoki!

Yes…Eisenberg sounds more like someone who'd keep a nuclear reactor in the basement. I'll have to check this out next time I'm at Sephora.

Um, I may be off-base here, but wouldn't Cannabis Rose make one smell like pot? The rose and chocolate sound great, but no thanks to getting arrested for my perfume!

    T. smells like pot, I was wondering about that too.

The other day I saw a brand of wodka with cannabis in the windows of a convenience store. Cannabis seems to be a new ingredient now.. or not really?

Just googled Eisenberg and it is a Swiss company. They have a very small perfume collection and skincare products.

I may give Eisenberg some sniffs, why not 😉

Their website is http//:www.eisenberg.mc . By the way, mc stands for Monaco so they must be from Monaco.

Just tried 'Noir et Rouge' and 'J'Ose' and I do like both. Two very luxurious feminine fragrances. Not mainstream at all.

Taniuska, the Cannabis Santal scent they did for men was pretty darned light on the Cannabis — not likely to fool anyone into thinking you'd been smoking the stuff.

New over the last few years, I guess. Demeter has a Cannabis Flower scent (also doesn't smell like the dried plant) and it's in a candle from Malin + Goetz. Also in the upcoming men's scent from Oxbow.

Just bought it. Wearing it now. My first sniff it smelled like roses, but that was the last time it smelled that way. Now i smell more patcholi, with a musk finish anyways I love it. Very complex fragrance. Be careful
