Women knew how to use the perfume…

Courtesy of YouTube, a little perfume porn for Monday morning: a shop in Paris where they restore and sell vintage perfume bottles. If anyone knows the name of this shop, please comment!

    Hello,
This is a beautiful and very interesting boutique in the Montmartre area in Paris. Just in front of the Sacré-Coeur. It is situated Rue Tardieu 75018. I do not remember the name, sorry. Beautiful bottles, ads. A place for all people who are in love with perfume history and pretty bottles. Amand

Amand, huge thanks, hopefully that is enough information for anyone who wants to find the shop. Wish I could visit…the pictures were wonderful.

The French Yellow Pages list a restoration shop called 'Belle de Jour' (7, rue Tardieu, 75018). They're specialized in “Flacons de Parfum. Vaporisateurs. Parures de Toilette. XVIIIème – XIXème – Art Nouveau – Art Déco.”

Thanks so much M, it has been added to my “Shopping Trip to Paris” dream list.

Hmm… I'd never heard of that boutique, but then the 18th arrondissement wasn't the most salubrious area in Paris, iin the past – lots of 'belles de jour' and 'belles de nuit' around. It looks like it's been gentrified – like the Marais. I might visit next time I'm there. Thanks for posting about it, R. 🙂

J, some of those vanity sets looked mighty tempting, although as I haven't a vanity table and my dresser top is covered with the remains of whatever laundry I haven't put away yet…well, you see I don't need a vanity set!

You have just talked yourself out of the need to go there, R. Well done! 😉

What is really sick is that I didn't see it that way at all — I'd still take that green vanity set, LOL…
