First, Stella McCartney’s Stella Eau de Parfum “gets dressed in a luxurious plum-colored rubber velvet casing” for the Stella Velvet Edition. I was really hoping this was an all new fragrance (doesn’t a velvety version of Stella sound nice?) but alas, it is just the same juice in a pretty bottle…

The scavenger of odors…

"I am a pilferer, a thief, a scavenger of odors," he said, adding he's not interested in copying nature but rather "transforming it" and conveying aspects of nature using as few materials as possible. "It's a challenge to be simple," he said. "If I'm simple, the better [one] understands." If a composition is "too complex," he said, "the message is lost."

Swedish direct-sales cosmetics firm Oriflame, which appears to operate just about everywhere except the United States, is introducing a new range of gemstone-inspired fragrances “not marketed on the pull of fast moving celebrities, but on the role [of] the perfumer behind the scent”…
