Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy perfume advert

Midnight Fantasy is the fourth and latest fragrance release from Britney Spears, and is meant as the sexy, late night (“a mysterious realm of temptation and intrigue”) follow-up to 2005’s Fantasy. It was created by perfumer Caroline Sabas, and the notes include black cherries, framboise, plum, orchid, freesia, iris, musk, amber and vanilla. The bottle (see it here) is the same as Fantasy’s, done up in dark blue.

If you were expecting a darker, warmer take on Fantasy’s medley of cupcake and sweet fruits, Midnight Fantasy may come as something of a surprise…

Givenchy Lovely Prism ~ new fragrance

Givenchy Lovely Prism fragranceGivenchy's Lovely Prism, which launched last year as a travel-retail exclusive perfume, is now being released into "regular" retail at sephora.fr (although do note that it has been available at the online discounters in the US for some time). The fragrance is a green fruity floral created by perfumer Marc Buxton, and is designed to have 3 facets: citrus, floral and woods. The notes include green apple, cassis, clementine, peony, magnolia, apple blossom, hawthorne, sandalwood and iris. (via sephora.fr & aufeminin)

Celebrity perfume news: the Beckhams & J Lo

David Beckham, who recently signed with the LA Galaxy soccer team and is expected to move to the United States this summer, and his wife Victoria, the former Posh Spice, are reportedly in talks with Coty to bring their Intimately Beckham perfume range to the US. Vera Wang Truly Pink

Vera Wang has expanded into a lifestyle brand, selling everything from jewelry to sunglasses to shoes, but she is still best known for the bridal gowns that launched her eponymous fashion business in 1990. Truly Pink is her fifth and latest fragrance, debuting 5 years after her initial effort, Vera Wang for women. The notes include white freesia, cassis, lychee blossom, peony, pink rose accord, creamy woods, iris and violet wood.

You would expect a perfume from a bridal designer to be unabashedly romantic and perhaps a bit conservative, and that is exactly what you’ll get with Truly Pink…
