Posted by Robin on 23 September 2007 10 Comments

Ungaro perfume by Emanuel Ungaro

Emanuel Ungaro will launch Ungaro, a new fragrance for women, next month.

Ungaro is a floriental scent developed by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, with notes of jasmine, saffron and amber.

The U-shaped bottle was designed by Sylvie de France.

Emanuel Ungaro Ungaro will be available in 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products (Body Lotion, Bath & Shower Gel). (via cosmoty.de, moda.it)

Isabela Capeto Perfume

Brazilian fashion designer Isabela Capeto has launched an eponymous perfume. I read about it in this morning's New York Times and was so taken by the packaging that I couldn't resist posting about it even though it is only available in Brazil. The new scent was developed by perfumer Carmita Magalhães in collaboration with Perfumaria Phebo, and the notes include cedar, vetiver, sandalwood, osmanthus, Brazilian marshland lily, black plum, opoponax, black and pink pepper, cinnamon and cardamom. I want one! (details via isabelacapeto)

Hey, someone tell Tom Ford…. You can use a woman's mouth in a scent ad, and not make it look like sleaze. (On the other hand, this does look like high-end mouthwash.)

The Isabel Capeto bottle is the. cutest. ever. Surely some kind soul with a profit motive will be making available in the US.

All I could think of is yuck, she's going to end up w/ perfume in her mouth, LOL…

And I want that IC bottle no matter what is in it. Way cute.

That is one cute bottle. Maybe if we are really lucky, IC will do a series of them! But how does it work?

Don't know! I'm sort of assuming her head comes off? Off with her head…

LOL!!! I saw it in the paper too. Ripped the page out. WANT. Also, staring at your online image closely … doesn't she look like she's made out of wood? As opposed to plastic? Or is that my eyes?

M, did you go to the IC website? There are more shots there, and pretty sure based on those that it is plastic. (Great website, by the way, although slow even on broadband)

2nd career calling: US distributor of IC perfumes?

I just came back from the website!!!! Would it annoy you if I mentioned it on the Posse? That is, seriously, one of the most charming websites I have visited in some time. I love the music.

They list Barneys and a couple other places as carrying the line (not necessarily the fragrance, though.) And … yeah, we need some.

Of course not, go right ahead! Did you see the little red figure floating across the bottom spritzing from the bottle? Cracked me up.
