That was awfully depressing to read. Of course I'm glad Courtney Love has cleaned up her act, but her saying that she wants to be normal and run-of the-mill and a “Beverly Hills soccer Mom”…sad, and so *not* Courtney. Isn't there some happy medium between being a total wreck and having all the spirit of a loaf of Wonder Bread? It sounds as if she's just plain given up. Who wants a 43 year old rebel? I do! Her words don't bode well for her fragrance being any good, if it ever does get released.

haven't read it yet, but she is reputed to wear some very interesting scents – so if she did do a scent of her own – it might be good! i'd be willing to try it. i actually like her – she did a great job in that larry flynt movie – and yeah, she can be a mess, but she's still an intriguing mess and a rebel.

LOL at “happy medium between being a total wreck and having all the spirit of a loaf of Wonder Bread”. I don't think she can pull off soccer Mom, so not too worried.

All true. If she released some bland fruity floral, it would be a real let down.

It would be great if she could manage to launch the female equivalent of Cumming.

And she could kick Diddy's butt any day!

I confess, I'm a Courtney fan. Yes, she's a mess, but Kiki really nailed it: There's got to be a happy medium somewhere for her.

I'm really looking forward to her solo album. The one track I heard, “How Dirty Girls Get Clean,” was great!

So true! But not likely to make big $$, so not likely.

Sadly, I don't even know her music. Will have to go give it a listen…

Awww, she still has alot of fans. Cleans up pretty well, she just needs to stick with it.

But seriously, do you think she could sell perfume? I wonder if her kind of fans are the kind that fall for aspirational marketing anyway?

Then take a listen to Hole's “Celebrity Skin” album. It's probably the most accessible.

You know, I am thinking that her fans might not, but we are all so obviously intrigued by the idea of a CL scent, so perhaps we're her market. Oddly, I have a sense from that article that she does not realize there's a whole universe of perfumistas and perfumistos out there who would be very interested in something genuine from her, so she thinks she needs to go all mainstream. Someone should introduce CL to Sarah Jessica Parker.

Thanks, listened to the measly excerpts available on iTunes, on Celebrity Skin & Live Through This. I actually remember a few of these songs from the radio & just didn't know they were her. Better than I thought she'd be.

Hard to picture CL & SJP dishing over perfume preferences, LOL! Although for all I know, they are already best of friends 🙂
