Ghost Anticipation ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 4 May 2007 9 Comments

Ghost Anticipation perfumeGhost has launched a new fragrance for women, Ghost Anticipation:

Feel the heady anticipation of the night ahead filled with adventure and fun with the sparkling new fragrance from GHOST. Dazzling top notes of cranberries, blood mandarin and violet create a fresh, fruity luminous accord to awaken the senses. Rich floral bouquets of peony, orange flower and mauve freesia envelop a sensual secret: the irresistibly addictive scent of "Chocolate Lovers" Orchid - a heart-stirring, mouth-watering, utterly scrumptious fragrance reminiscent of chocolate with a hint of vanilla.

Ghost Anticipation is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching body products. (via ghost.co.uk)

Other recent releases from Ghost: Ghost Summer Flirt.

I'm curious about this one. I haven't really been seduced by the other “Ghost” fragrances…but the idea of them always gets me revved up. I want a new evening scent so badly!

Something that did catch my nose, oddly enough, was the new Estee Lauder release “Pleasures exotic”. Something about it smelled so intoxicating and evening-like—-but it was the absolute last scent I thought I'd be drawn to. The original “Pleasures” smells horrifically acrid on me and fruity florals rarely draw me in. Anyhow, sorry for the detour—I'm anticipating “Anticipation” (cue the Carly Simon song…).

    Appendix–I usually can't stand tropical, aquatic or fruity-floral…yet, I liked “Pleasures Exotic”–go figure…

I have never seen or smelled a single Ghost scent!

And I actually rather like the original Pleasures (which you'd think I wouldn't be drawn to either). Pleasures Exotic doesn't appeal to me as much. But what can you do: if you love it, buy the pretty new green one!

You hear it every time, but I have to say I loved the original “Pleasures” on paper–all elegant flowers and dry softness–but on my skin, it was like an attack of a thousand fire ants in dishsoap. My silly self was so quick to dismiss “Pleasures exotic” because everything about it screamed “island scent” and “common”. I tried it without any expectations (part of the reason I could enjoy it, perhaps?) and I couldn't keep myself away from it. So odd…and the new bottle also looks like something that should be wrapped around an Onassis on the mediterranean.

LOL at “attack of a thousand fire ants in dishsoap”…I think on my skin, it is closer to what it is on paper.

I Have This Ghost Anticipation And Its My Favourite Perfume. I Love It.

But That Estee Lauder You Mentioned, I've Smelt It And To Be Honest, I Didn't Like It.

Ghost Anticipation Is The One For Me, But Each To Their Own I Guess =/
