New scented candles from The Thymes & Malin + Goetz

The Thymes Neroli Blossom candle

The Thymes has launched the Indigenous collection of home fragrances:

Expand your horizons. Ignite your senses. Enhance your connection with the world around you with Indigenous by Thymes. Rare and original fragrances rooted in diverse cultures, exotic locales and native ingredients…blended with sensitivity and an artful sense of adventure.

The collection includes Neroli Blossom (shown), Blue Lotus, Oolong Cassis, Tamarind Lychee, Verbena Bamboo and White Persimmon. (via newsletter from The Thymes)

Malin + Goetz Mojito candleMalin + Goetz has launched two new candles, Mojito and Dark Rum, to be burned separately or together. Mojito (shown) has notes of lime, rum, mint leaves, basil, spearmint, chinese mint and white musk; Dark Rum has bergamot, plum, rum, leather, amber, patchouli, and milk.     I can definitely recommend the Dark Rum candle from Malin + Goetz! It's strong, and it's sweet but not “foody.” I'd describe the scent as an androgynous gourmand, if that makes sense. There was some sooty deposit on the glass towards the end of the candle's life-span, but not enough to bother me. I'd buy another one. 🙂

    Thanks J, I really want the Mojito! I like that they suggest you use them for cocktail glasses afterwards 🙂
