Posted by Robin on 7 March 2007 5 Comments

Davidoff Cool Water Game Happy Summer fragrance for herAvon Imari Seduction perfume

Davidoff will launch the Happy Summer collection in April. This year's collection includes summer limited editions of Cool Water Game for men and women. Cool Water Game for Her Happy Summer (bottle shown above left) decorates the aquatic floral notes of the original Cool Water Game with iced Mango Daiquiri; Cool Water Game for Him Happy Summer adds notes of orange blossom, watermelon and green apple to the original.

Both scents will be available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via cosmoty.de)

Avon will launch Imari Seduction, a "fruity oriental" follow-up to 1985's Imari perfume, this coming August. The fragrance (shown above right) will be fronted by actress Jennifer Hudson:

Created by Harry Fremont at Firmenich, the fragrance notes are plum, purple orchid, vanilla, amber and musk. Imari Seduction retails at $22.50 for 1.7 oz. The collection will include body lotion, shower gel and a travel-size spray six months later. (via Women's Wear Daily)

Update: Avon's Imari Seduction also includes notes of wild berries, patchouli, rose and sandalwood. According to Harry Fremont, he "blended the most intoxicating and addictive materials available to me as a perfumer..." (via avon)

So let me get this straight: as members of the “Cool Water” family with the sub-category “Game for Her/Him” and the sub-sub-category “Happy Summer”, these new Davidoff scents have three names each?

At this rate, with eight hundred or more new scents every year and multiple monickers attached to more than a few of them, the fragrance manufacturers are going to use up all the possible names by the middle of the century, and then where will we be?

LOL — true! And I am pretty sure there are even more scents in the Happy Summer collection. I am still cracking up at “Christian Dior Dior Addict II Summer Peonies”, for some reason.
