What are you wearing? – I am wearing Hoochie Coochie!
    …Nah, I can't see this happening, even if I could miraculously pay $325 for 15ml. 🙂

LOL — for some reason, I like “Hoochie Coochie” better than “Foxy Lady”, but you're right, I don't want to have to report the name to anyone 🙂

Why are these so expensive? $325 for 15ml seems totally outrageous to me.

    Regards,

    Steve

Aaah, maybe it's Rich Hippie who'll bring out that scent I mentioned a while back – now rebranded 'Happy Herpes'…

They are all-natural, so you're paying for the higher cost of the raw materials, plus whatever extra you're paying for the cachet of buying high end all natural. As example, price per ounce for 3 natural high end lines: Rich Hippie $700, Aftelier $560, Strange Invisible Perfumes $740.

As an “aging” fan of Jimi Hendrix and the Allman Brothers (singers of “Foxy Lady” and “Hoochie Coochie Man” respectively), I don't have a problem with the names. It's the concept of a rich hippie that bothers me. Any self-respecting “hippie” would still be wearing inexpensive head shop patchouli as opposed to a $325 scent.

Just my opinion, by the way. 🙂

who ARE these people marketing to? Wildly overpriced scents with vulgar names … there is a significant disconnect somewhere. I loved Wild Thing, but it's all been downhill since. Ick. xoxo

Perfect example of dramatic swings in marketing. For years, Summers Eve has been doing a booming business in the quest to cover up Hootchie Coochie. Now some yayhoo comes along, makes it fashionable. Summers Eve stock shares tank, which explains why Wall Street has been crazed!
