Why do I always feel so excited about the annual Opium LE? I never buy it! But Opium was my first experience of perfume infatuation, and I just love the idea of a lighter, cuter version. I have no idea what notes are different between this one and last year's Imperiale, but I'll be haunting the counters come March….

The notes sound *very* similar to last year's, perhaps they just threw in some orchid? How was last year's, anyway? I didn't get to try it.

I bought last year's Imperiale for my mother who wore opium during my childhood. She loved it because it was so much lighter. I thought it was good and reminded me of a sunny but rainy spring day; slightly spicy and a little bit chilly

Ah, that sounds nice. Will have to make an effort to sample the new one this year!

I think it might be the same juice for the men's version again this year. Nutmeg and lemon seems new, but I swear I smelled both in last year's juice. No bamboo this time? I'll assume it's the same stuff.

The notes for both the men's & women's sound VERY similar to last year…might be the same, might be just slightly tweaked.
