Next up: scented cell phone covers

Posted by Robin on 9 January 2007 5 Comments

Scented cell phone coverFast on the heels of yesterday's news about scented tires, today we have yet another accessory for the perfume freak, scented cell phone covers:

foneGEAR® LLC (Rochester Hills, MI) – a leader in mobile communications accessories – is extremely pleased to announce the introduction and immediate availability of foneScentz™, the world’s first scented phone faceplates.

foneScentz are form-fitted protective faceplates designed for Motorola RAZR phones. Available in five fantastic uniquely scented colors, foneScentz promises to revolutionize the accessory experience, and it’s only available from foneGEAR. Scents available at launch include chocolate (Brown cover), Raspberry (Red), Piña Colada (Orange), Tranquil Escape Aromatherapy (Green), and Warm Vanilla (Pink).

You can buy your phone cover now at Fonegear. I'm still waiting for the iPOD cover that smells like Bvlgari Black. (via ecoustics.com, with thanks to Christopher Peterson for the tip!)

You know, after a day at the perfume counter I stuffed all the strips in my purse right next to my phone and I swear that the metal *still* smells of perfume a full month later. Of course its a generic “department store” scent since they're all mixed together, but I'll be you could work the BB angle just fine without waiting a moment…

Now that they've announced the iPhone, maybe we'll be seeing something scented from this same company.

They actually have scented cellphones with removable strips that go near the hinge!! I guess they are out in Japan right now but may be in the US soon.
