Faconnable Femme fragranceFaçonnable will launch Femme, their second fragrance for women, this March:

Elixir of sensuality and elegance, Faconnable Femme is a true journey in the realm of seduction. It is a fragrance that envelops the skin, plays on raw materials and arouses all senses.

The perfumer for Faconnable Femme is Nathalie Lorson, and the notes include passion fruit, peony, jasmine sambac, gardenia, heliotrope, plum, vanilla and musk. Perfume review: Paula Dorf Zita

Paula Dorf Zita fragrance

Paula Dorf started as a make-up artist and eventually launched her own line of color cosmetics in 1997. Her first (and so far, only) fragrance, Zita, was released in 2003. It was created by perfumers Cecile Krakower and Ralf Schwieger, and has notes of tea rose, fresh cut grass, freesia, galbanum, peach, pink peony, iris, sandalwood and musk:

“I had this vision of walking with my mom as a little girl,” said Dorf, who noted that childhood memories were the main inspiration for Zita, which is also her middle name.”The smell of the grass, the flowers, I’ve always had that scent in me.” (via Womens Wear Daily, 1/31/2003)

Zookeepers are using perfumes to "...spice up the love lives of two endangered Sumatran tigers at London Zoo." The tiger's favorite fragrance so far? Calvin Klein Obsession. Read the details at BBC News.

Apothia L Eau de Parfum & Mona di Orio: new fragrances

Apothia L Eau de ParfumThis week Apothia will launch L Eau de Parfum (see bottle at right), a fragrance inspired by the Showtime series The L Word. It was created by perfumer Yann Vasnier and includes notes of angelica, juniper, cardamom, violet leaf, Florentine orris butter, vetiver, sandalwood, musk and crystal amber.
