Elizabeth Arden Provocative Interlude & Tommy Bahama Very Cool ~ new fragrances

Elizabeth Arden Provocative Woman perfumeElizabeth Arden will launch Provocative Interlude in April:

…the juice — created by Carlos Benaim and Loc Dong — is described as a modern oriental with gourmand accents.

The top notes are a blend of Champagne and white berries, highlighted with guava leaf. These lead to a heart of sunset orchid, rose petals and mango flower. The base features a white chocolate accord, teamed with cashmere musk and redwood. (via moodiereport)

Provocative Interlude is an Eau de Parfum, and will be available in 50 and 100 ml.

Calvin Klein ck one advert

Calvin Klein released ck one in 1994. It was one of the first modern fragrances marketed to both men and women, although as was the case with the recent release of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Gaultier2, the company pointedly avoided the word “unisex”, preferring to call it a “shared” fragrance. It was (and still is) targeted towards consumers in the 18-24 age range, and it was a massive success, doing $5 million in business in the first 10 days alone (Women’s Wear Daily, 10/7/1994), and continuing on to become the world’s top selling fragrance in 1995.

The ck one fragrance was created by perfumers Alberto Morillas and Harry Fremont. The notes are bergamot, lemon, mandarin, cardamom, pineapple, papaya, hedione, lily of the valley, green tea, oakmoss, cedar, sandalwood, musk and amber. We’ll start with Marlen’s take…

Les Millesimes de Givenchy & Lancome Tropiques ~ new fragrances

Givenchy Harvest Collection ~ Organza and Very IrresistibleAs previously reported, Givenchy will release two more fragrances in the “Les Millésimes de Givenchy” harvest collection. Organza Jasmin d'Inde (bottle with gold cap) features Jasminum Grandiflorum from the 2005 harvest in Madras, India. Very Irresistible Rose Bulgare (bottle on far right) will feature the 2005 rose harvest from the “Valley of Roses” in southern Bulgaria. Both are scheduled to debut at Sephora in France next week. Lancome Tropiques, an updated version of a 1935 Lancome fragrance, will debut in travel retail next month…

Annick Goutal Songes perfume review

Annick Goutal Songes fragrance

Songes is the latest fragrance release from the house of Annick Goutal. It was created by Camille Goutal in collaboration with perfumer Isabelle Doyen, and was said to have been inspired by the scent of frangipani flowers at sunset on the island of Mauritius. The notes are frangipani, tiare, jasmine notes, incense, vanilla, copahu balm, pepper, ylang-ylang absolute, vetiver, sandalwood, amber and styrax.
