Posted by Robin on 23 March 2006 6 Comments

Scent Bar, the brick 'n mortar boutique owned by luckyscent, is having a Spring Trunk Show to introduce the new fragrances of the season. Champagne and wine will be served, stop by anytime on March 24 or 25 between 12 and 7, or on the 26th from 12 to 5.

Perfume & gender

Posted by Robin on 23 March 2006 5 Comments

Do gender distinctions matter when it comes to fragrance? Not to everyone:

Today industry insiders recognize that to more and more customers, buying fragrance by gender is a notion as quaint as gaiters.

Fragrance review: late. Come back tomorrow.

Posted by Robin on 23 March 2006 18 Comments

New West fragranceI had a fragrance review started this morning, but the day has flown by and it still isn't finished. Promise to have it done tomorrow.

Meanwhile, raise your hand if you ever wore New West. If you are my age (and no, I'm not telling), chances are good that you had a bottle at some point.

On other matters: if you are one of the nice people who applied to be a contributor to Now Smell This, I have to apologize. The last few weeks have been very busy and I am still looking over the submissions. I am not sure that I'll manage to reply to everyone personally, but if you haven't heard from me, it doesn't mean anything.

And if you missed the original post but think you'd like to write for Now Smell This, here are the details. Not a single person applied to write about scented bath & body products or home fragrance, so if those areas interest you, do get in touch.
