Mandarina Duck Man fragranceMandarina Duck, the upscale luggage line from Italy, has launched Mandarina Duck Man. The fragrance was developed by perfumer Nathalie Lorson, and includes notes of blood orange, peach, grapefruit, thyme, cardamom, nutmeg, musk, vetiver and kyara wood.

Mandarina Duck Man is an Eau de Toilette; matching grooming products are also available.

Trailer for the upcoming movie version of Suskind’s Perfume

Movie Still Suskind's PerfumeEarlier this year I linked to a brief trailer of the movie version of Patrick Suskind's Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, directed by Tom Tykwer and starring Dustin Hoffman, Ben Wishaw, Rachel Hurd-Wood and Alan Rickman. Here is a longer trailer, in German, and perhaps even creepier than the first despite the fact that I don't understand a single word. According to Cinematical, where I found the link, it is due for release in Germany in September; the US in December.

Jean-Charles Brosseau Thé Brun

Jean-Charles Brosseau, milliner and creator of 1981’s still popular Ombre Rose, has recently released a trio of men’s fragrances: Thé Brun, Atlas Cedar and Fruit de Bois. Of the three, the one I was most anticipating is Thé Brun or Brown Tea, created with perfumer Pierre Bourdon. Thé Brun has notes of bergamot, fruity notes, green leaves, lavender, violet, spices, cumin, jasmine, orange blossom, lapsang tea, palisander wood, powdery notes and musk.

As a huge fan of tea fragrances, it was with great excitement that I tested Thé Brun, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed…
