The rumor is true; singer Gwen Stefani has signed a deal with Coty and will launch her first perfume under her own brand label, L.A.M.B., in the fall of 2007:
“I love to collaborate—meaning I love to get my own way—and Coty is good about giving me that freedom,” she said. Stefani described the yet-to-be-named first fragrance, which will debut in fall 2007, as “classic.” (via cosmeticnews)

Earlier this year I cited Sa Majesté la Rose as evidence that Serge Lutens can do conventionally pretty when he wants to. Un Lys, a 1997 release and another soliflore fragrance, might be the only other scent in the line that could be used to back up the same claim. It was created by perfumer Christopher Sheldrake, and includes notes of lily, leaves, musk and vanilla.

That cookie-scented advertising that was installed in several San Francisco bus shelters as part of the "Got Milk?" ad campaign caused a bit of an uproar, and now the scented-strips have been removed. Apparently they were only in place for about 24 hours. Read more at sfgate or newyorktimes.
